FOUR JADES DEPICTING MYTHICAL CREATURES.

1) Han style and probably of the period, China. Figure with wings and a fish’s tail. Gray stone with large areas of calcification. 2) Hung Shan culture, 2nd c BC, China. Green jade with traces of ochre. Drilled for suspension at the back. 3) Possibly Chou Period, China. Stone of a brown green color with an area of deep amber. 4) Possibly Han period, China. Figure of a seated bear with a horn. Surface carved with scrolling. Stone of varying amber brown colors. SIZE: 1) 2″ x 1-1/2″. 2) 2-1/2″ x 1-1/4″. 3) 2″ l. 4) 2-1/4″ x 1-1/4″.
