*J. NOWOTNY DRILLING. Cal. 12×12/9.3×72? Unusual drilling in that the shotgun bbls have Paradox bores (last 1-1/2″ of muzzles are rifled). Bbls are 25-1/2″ with a caterpillar front sight, 2-leaf folding Express sight marked “200” & “300”. Is also fitted for an unusual claw mount. The rib extension has a deep engraved dbl headed eagle. The bbls are very heavy with dbl lump and Greener cross bolt. The box lock receiver is triple scalloped, reinforced with side clips and Greener thumb safety. The receiver is beautifully engraved with very fine arabesque patterns over 25%. A most unusual feature is three triggers with the rifle trigger being set. The schnable tipped splinter forearm is also heavily reinforced. Another unusual feature is ejectors on the shotgun bbls. Receiver also has reinforced recoil shields and side clips with long tang and three cocked indicators. The buttstock has a checkered semi-pistol grip with shallow side panels and a shallow European style cheek piece with an American brown recoil pad. The bbl and buttstock is fitted with sling swivels. SN 13552. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. Bbls retain about 95% original bright blue. Receiver and forearm reinforcements retain 75-80% subtle case colors. The forearm has a hairline crack at the tip, the stock is missing a splinter at the receiver, otherwise, the wood retains 85-90% original finish. The claw mounts and scope are missing.
