19th/20th century, China. The box with hinged cover which opens to reveal a hand painted liner containing an embroidered silk textile. Has hand written presentation note from Nantucket dated “June 1917”. Comes with brass opium pipe having hinged cover revealing incised writing. SIZE: Box: 18-1/2″ w. Pipe: 11-1/2″ h.
