*WINCHESTER EXPERIMENTAL OVER/UNDER ELECTRICAL IGNITION SHOTGUN. 12ga. This rare gun is a slide action over/under designed to test this type of action while at the same time testing the dual, electrical firing circuits for the caseless ammunition. The slide action is accuated by depressing the latch on the front of the trigger guard. The caseless ammunition is loaded on the side of the receiver when the slide is open. Closing the slide locks and arms the electrical circuit for firing. The forearm and pistol grip stock feature deluxe figured wood and checkering. There is a Winchester composition buttplate with a cutout which has an arming switch for the electrical circuits. The pistol grip has a metal cap with scroll design. There are no markings except the Winchester research proof on the top right hand side of the milled steel frame. The bbl is 27″ with a ventilated rib. CONDITION: Excellent with nearly all of the bright blue and varnish. Bright shiny bore. There is a major repair to a shattered wrist and a ding at the muzzle of the top bbl into the rib.
