China. Early 20th century. The well carved sculpture depicting a foo lion with head turned to the side and paw resting on a brocade ball. He is shown atop a rectangular plinth having panels around the outside carved with horses done in shallow relief. Now fitted as a lamp. SIZE: Stone 7-1/2″ h. Lamp 12-3/4″ h (without shade). PROVENANCE: The Webster Family Trust descended from the Rockefeller/Dodge Family. CONDITION: Scattered small chips, staining to the shade. 51508-17 (150-200) – Lot 3666
