*EXPERIMENTAL OR PROTOTYPE FEATHERWEIGHT WINCHESTER MODEL 59 SEMI-AUTO SHOTGUN. Cal. 14ga. The former Director of Marketing for Winchester reports that this is one of only a few Model 59’s manufactured at the Winchester factory in 14ga. This shotgun has a 26″ plain fiberglass bbl including a replaceable special lightweight choke. Bbl is completely unmarked. The receiver, made from aluminum bar rather than extruded aluminum, with etched engraving of dog and pheasant on one side and flying ducks on the other with light arabesque patterns. The bottom of the receiver has Winchester factory proof. The wood is straight grain walnut with double diamond checkered forearm, semi-pistol grip stock with composition buttplate. Receiver is fitted with a blued steel trigger guard. One of a kind, exceedingly rare. Accompanied by several letters of provenance. SN EXP20B. CONDITION: Excellent, plus. Retains virtually all its original finish to both metal and wood with only minor scratches near the muzzle and the left side of the buttstock. 4-46913 (100-300)
