RARE D. LEFEVER CANANDAIGUA MARKED HALF-STOCK SPORTING RIFLE.

NSN. Approx 40 cal. 28″ full oct bbl. Top of bbl marked “D LEFEVER / CANANDAGUIA”. Percussion rifle with lock marked “ATKINSON / WARRANTED” which is lightly engraved behind hammer. Brass trigger guard, trigger, and finial. Full brass buttplate with typical New York State style top spur. Nose cap appears to be silver, ramrod is missing. CONDITION: Excellent for its age and this extremely rare maker. Bbl is a nice even toned brown finish with scattered light handling marks and beginning erosion near nipple. Stocks are very good with minor losses at forend on right sight and small shrinkage near toe, scattered handling marks and light scratches throughout under an old added refinish.
