COCA-COLA 1901 “GIRL WITH YELLOW ROSES” PAPER SIGN.

Colorful graphics and an attractive subject combine to make this one of the most desirable early Coca-Cola advertising signs. The illustration spotlights the “Coca-Cola girl” seated at a table holding a flared Coca-Cola glass in its sterling silver holder. Her glamorous attire conveys the message that Coca-Cola is the stylish and fashionable choice for any festive occasion. Extremely scarce chromolithograph printed on textured paper by Wolf & Co., Phila. SIZE: Sight: 13-3/4″ w x 19-5/8″ h. CONDITION: Displays very nicely. Close examination reveals that the bottom 1-1/2″ is a photo mechanical color copy which has been spliced to the original. Side margins have been slightly trimmed with some fraying at the upper left edge. Top metal hanger retains some of its original brass finish – the lower metal strip is painted black. Professional touch-up to a few very small scratches/scuffs in the image area. 1-14009 (4,000-6,000) – Lot 3592
