SN 9274. Cal. 20 ga. 2-3/4″ chambers. Chokes marked “Imp cyl” and “Mod”. Full length matted top rib with steel mid bead and red front bead. Water table and bbl flats with standard Model 21 markings. Single selective trigger, automatic ejectors, automatic safety. Full pistol grip buttstock with checkered side panels and checkered in 3-pt pattern at grip is of beautiful flame grained American Walnut over “Old English” red pad. Beaver-tail forearm checkered in standard trap pattern with roll type release and SN noted on inside metal and wood. Unengraved receiver marked “Trap” on bottom of trigger plate and SN noted at top tang. Bore diameter: left – .617, right – .613. Bore restrictions: left – .012 (lt mod), right – .003 (imp/cyl). Minimum wall thickness: left – .022, right – .029 . Weight: 6 lbs. 12 oz. Drop at comb: 1-1/2″, drop at heel: 2-3/16″. LOP: 14-5/16″. PROVENANCE: Remarkable William Larkin Moore Private Estate Collection of Fine Sporting Arms CONDITION: Outstanding as spiffed up. Bbls retain 95-98% of an expertly restored likely factory refinish. Buttstock and forearm are exceptional as restored and retain virtually all of their hand-rubbed oil finish which is slightly more dull than is typically observed on Model 21s. Checkering is very crisp. Receiver retains 95% plus restored blued finish with minor toning at high points and back of top tang. Trigger guard is excellent as restored. There is a coat of varnish at the back of the trigger guard tang. Brilliant shiny bores. Trigger functions flawlessly, ejectors are in time. The gun is tight on the face.
