*WINCHESTER PROTOTYPE OR EXPERIMENTAL MODEL 59 FEATHERWEIGHT SEMI-AUTO SHOTGUN. Cal. 14ga. Very unusual gun in that it is chambered for the 14ga. with 26″ plain fiberglass bbl, without bead and with special lightweight choke. Receiver is unusual in that it is made without engraving. It is further unusual in that it has both the Winchester factory proof and the Winchester Research Proof. indicating a joint effort between the factory and the research department. The factory made the receiver and the research department made the bbl. It is fitted with dbl. diamond deluxe wood having a checkered semi-pistol grip stock with composition buttplate and natural alloy trigger guard. Accompanied by several letters of provenance. Exceedingly rare, one of a kind. SN EXP21B. CONDITION: Excellent. Retains virtually all its original factory finish to both metal and wood with only minor scratches on the receiver and on the buttstock. Forearm has a couple of small cracks. 4-46926 (1,000-3,000)
