SN G201. Cal. 16 ga. 2-3/4″ Chambers. This fine hand made gun incorporating Tony Galazan’s ingenious adaptation of the vaunted Boss OU, features 29-1/2″ demi-bloc bbls, with slightly raised, matted, solid rib marked “A. GALAZAN” on left side of top bbl, and “CONNECTICUT SHOTGUN MFG. CO.” and “N. B. CT U.S.A.” on right. Bbl flat is engraved with SN, gauge, chamber length, and “1”. Gun is one of a pair with the “1′ inlaid in gold at rear portion of rib, on top lever pivot, and on bottom exterior of forend iron. Round bodied, case hardened, low profile, OU action is fitted with pinless sidelocks with hidden access flaps for lock removal at tops of each lockplate. Automatic safety has “S” inlaid in gold. Single beaded, blued trigger guard has well done flush gold inlaid woodcock surrounded by scroll on bow. SN is on tang. Wonderfully marbled and nicely burl figured European walnut round knob pistol grip buttstock measures 14-1/4″ over checkered wood butt with engraved steel heel and toe plates. Stock features classic drop points, borderless point pattern closely spaced checkering, and a vacant gold oval on knob of grip. Matching ejector forend has iron shaped to resemble Boss’s ejector housing, and Anson type release. Bore diameter: top -.661, bottom – .661. Bore restrictions: top – .019 (mod), bottom – .009 (IC). Drop at heel: 2-1/2″, drop at comb: 1-9/16″. Cast: Neutral. Weight: 7 lbs. 14 oz. LOP: 14-1/4″. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbls retain approx 95% orig blue, silvering at muzzles and along sides of rib, with a number of light marks. Action retains over 90% orig case hardening color, silvering on sharp edges and beads, thinning slightly on bottom from normal hand wear. Thumbpiece is slightly silvered, as are edges of trigger guard and left side of forend iron. There are a few minor marks in orig stock finish. Bores are excellent. Action is tight. Ejectors are strong and in time. Trigger works. A fine high quality American made gun designed to compete with the best shotguns made in the world today. 50741-1 MGM140 (30,000-50,000) – Lot 3575
