*◊ RARE UNNUMBERED DWM GL PROTOTYPE OR PRESENTATION 1900 LUGER.SN NSN. 4-3/4″ 30 Cal. bbl. “DWM” scroll on center toggle link. Dished toggles. “GL” on rear toggle link. No other external markings or proof marks and no internal parts numbering. Grip safety. Plain wood bottom magazine. This gun is the same configuration as the 1900 US test guns, and this may have been a prototype for that series. This gun is featured on p. 283 of Dr. Geoffrey Sturgess’ The Borchardt & Luger Automatic Pistols. PROVENANCE: Collection of Dr. Geoffrey Sturgess. CONDITION: Retains 80% orig blue and 40% orig straw. Bore is bright and sharp. Grips are lightly worn with some large indents on the right side. Magazine is very good with a dent in the body.
