*RARE & DESIRABLE BROWNING RKLT POINTER GRADE SUPERPOSED SHOTGUN.

SN 30404V3. Cal. 20 ga. 26-1/2″ bbls with matted, vent rib with sgl silver sighting bead, 3″ chambers, choked IMP-CYL / MOD with gold sgl selective trigger & ejectors. Chamber area of top bbl on left side marked “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY ST LOUIS MO. & MONTREAL P.Q. / MADE IN BELGIUM”. Right side marked “SPECIAL STEEL – 20 GA – SHELLS 2-3/4″ & 3″ / PATENTS NO 2203.378-2233.86”. French gray receiver has fine foliate arabesque scroll with vignette of retriever holding duck in marsh scene, signed “A. Marechal” on left side, pointer holding pheasant & signed “A. Marechal” on right, and small vignette of 2 game birds on bottom. Trigger guard bow carries rooster pheasant in flight. Mounted with nicely figured walnut, checkered rnd knob pistol grip with long tang, & Browning hard rubber butt plate. Wrap-around checkered field style forend. Bore diameter: top -.623, bottom -.620. Bore restrictions: top -.013, bottom -.005. Wall thickness: top -.035, bottom -.039. Drop at heel: 2″, drop at comb: 1-3/8″. Weight: 6 lbs. 3 oz. LOP 13-5/8″. PROVENANCE: Factory letter confirming specifications and stating it was sold May 15 1964 to Carters Gun Works Charlottesville, VA. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbls retain 98% orig blue with faint rub mark on bottom bbl from forend & a few very minor handling marks. Receiver has virtually all of its French gray finish with a couple of scratches. Stock is sound with just a couple of very minor light handling marks & retains virtually all of its fine orig finish. Forend is sound & retains most of its orig finish. Gun is extremely tight with crisp mechanics, strong ejectors, & bright shiny bores, just what you would expect of a gun that has had little use. 51022-3 (10,000-15,000) C&R – Lot 3560
