SN 30824. Cal 12 ga. 2-5/8″ chambers. 28″ bbls. Full length matted rib with twin ivory beads. Right bbl marked on top “CHROMOX FLUID COMPRESSED STEEL” and on left “MADE BY A.H. FOX GUN CO. PHILA. PA U.S.A.”. No. 4 weight bbls with wedge of scroll engraving at breech. Kautzky SST. Auto ejectors. Auto safety. Capped full pistol grip buttstock with checkered side panels checkered in 3 pt pattern at grip and serrated lined HRBP. Grip cap marked “A.H. Gun Co. Philadelphia Pa”. Splinter forearm checkered in 2 pt pattern with light geometric engraved Deely latch and triangular ebony tip. Receiver is tastefully engraved in typical C grade pattern with quail on both sides in game scene surrounded by light scroll. Bottom of frame with setter in field scene and trigger plate with nicely cut scroll engraving around trigger plate screw. Fences are lightly scroll engraved as is top of receiver and top lever. Bore diameter: left – .727, right – .727. Bore restrictions: left – .027 (imp. mod), right – .017 (mod). Minimum wall thickness: left – .025, right – .022 . Weight: 7 lbs. 2oz. Drop at comb: 1-5/8″, drop at heel: 2-5/8″. LOP: 13-3/8 from rear position single trigger”. Bbls retain nearly all of a competent fine quality rust blue with a couple of old minor repaired dents. Receiver retains 20-30% orig case color though mostly faded. Engraving is still sharp. Buttstock and forearm are very good, checkering lightly thinned at grip and retain most of an older high quality restoration. Trigger guard is excellent as restored and retains nearly all of its blued finish. Mechanics are crisp. Ejectors are perfectly timed. Gun is tight and on face. Single trigger works flawlessly.
