*EXCELLENT FOX XE 20 GAUGE SHOTGUN.

SN 201415. Cal. 20 ga. 26″ bbls with a 2-3/4″ chambers. Full length matted top rib with twin ivory beads and left tube marked “Chromox Fluid Compressed Steel”, right tube marked “Made by A.H. Fox Gun Co. Phila. PA. U.S.A.”. Nice wedge with oak leaf scroll at breech. Kautzky SST, automatic ejectors, automatic safety. Round knob full pistol grip buttstock with checkered side panels and checkered in 2-pt pattern near frame and wave pattern towards comb. Older replacement silvers type pad at butt. Case hardened trigger guard. Slender splinter forearm, near fully checkered and Deeley release engraved in light oak leaf pattern with finely shaped triangular ebony tip. Receiver is full coverage oak leaf pattern engraved with ducks in marsh scene on left, quail on right. Bottom of frame with fox in oval and trigger plate which is fully oak leaf engraved. Trigger guard is nicely oak leaf engraved with shield at bow and SN noted at tang. Top of frame, bbl fences and top lever in oak leaf pattern as is top tang. Bore diameter: left – .618, right – .618. Bore restrictions: left – .007 (imp/cyl), right – .002 (skeet). Minimum wall thickness: left – .030, right – .022 . Weight: 5 lbs. 10 oz. Drop at comb: 1-9/16″, drop at heel: 2-1/2″. LOP: 13-7/8″. Receiver retains 40-50% orig case color. Engraving still quite crisp and clear with very little wear. Trigger guard retains approximately 50% orig color, mostly on bow, starting to tone at tang. Buttstock & forearm are superb and retain nearly all of a professional restored hand-rubbed finish. Checkering is extremely sharp and there are just a couple of minor handling marks throughout.
