HIGH QUALITY PERCUSSION DOUBLE SHOTGUN BY PIRMET OF PARIS CONVERTED FROM FLINT.

NSN. Cal. 20 ga. 30″ Bbls are gold inlaid “Pirmet” “a Paris” at breech ends, with gold damascened spiderweb around front sight. Percussion conversion effected with new patent breeches, and locks fitted with flat faced hammers, are both gold inlaid “Permet a Paris”. Nicely sculpted steel trigger guard has urn and floral finial with “G” gold inlaid on bow. This URN motif continues to steel buttplate and thimble. Lightly figured walnut swan necked stock has relief carved grotesque head at grip with more relief carving behind cheekpiece. Grip and forend checkered. Ivory tipped baleen ramrod with worm is held by two fancy pipes. CONDITION: Very fine to excellent, as refinished at time of conversion with some subsequent bluing of bbls. There is a considerable amount of case hardening color on trigger guard and buttplate. Stocks show many scratches and bumps. Bores are very fine, lightly frosted.
