*SCARCE FULLY OPTIONED L.C. SMITH SPECIALTY GRADE TRAP GUN.

SN RE82937. Cal. 12 ga. 2-3/4″ Chambers. 32″ bbls with full length ventilated matted top rib. Steel mid bead and small ivory front sight. Tops of bbls marked “L.C. Smith Specialty Grade” on right and “Hunter Arms Co. Inc. M’F’R’S Fulton N.Y. U.S.A.” on left. Water table with SN and grade designation. Same marking found on bbl flats and reinforced bbl lug for beavertail forearm. Hunter One SST, automatic ejectors and non-automatic safety. Capped pistol grip buttstock is checkered in 2-point pattern and flame grained American walnut with modern Decelerator pad. Beavertail forearm with banjo roll-type release and proper reinforcing bolt, checkered in 3-point pattern, lockplates are engraved with quail on left, flying goose in marsh on right surrounded by foliate scrolls in typical Specialty grade pattern. Bottom of frame lightly scroll engraved as is trigger plate and trigger guard bow. SN noted at tang. Top of frame with light open scroll work. Bore diameter: left – .730, right – .729. Bore restrictions: left – .036 (full), right – .038 (full). Minimum wall thickness: left – .026, right – .030 . Weight: 8 lbs. 11 oz. Drop at comb: 1-5/16″, drop at heel: 1-13/16″. LOP: 14-1/4″ from mid position sgl trigger. CONDITION: Excellent as partially refurbished. Bbls retain most of a fine quality re-black. Mid bead moved approximately 1/4″. Buttstock and forearm are nicely restored and retain most of their custom high gloss finish. Grip cap appears to be a slightly undersized replacement. Receiver retains approximately 80% lightly toned orig case color, thinned on top of frame and on bottom. Trigger plate screw lightly marred, other screws are very good. Trigger guard retains most of a professionally restored blued finish. Trigger works. Ejectors are in time. Bores are excellent with minor orange peel. 50604-1 JSL (3,000-4,000) – Lot 3513
