*WINCHESTER MODEL 55 TAKEDOWN RIFLE. Cal. 30WCF. Standard grade rifle with 24″ tapered round bbl, pedestal front sight, open rear sight, half-magazine, uncheckered wood with straight stock and serrated steel buttplate. There is a carbine band around the forearm and two large screws in the left side of receiver. SN 10375. CONDITION: As noted, about very good. Bbl and magazine tube retains about 95% strong original blue. Receiver has been cleaned bright, forearm is sound and retains 75-80% original varnish. There is a crack 3″ up the toe and another smaller one at the heel, appears to have been cut. There is a non-factory swivel in the toe. Bright shiny bore. 4-46533 JR84 (300-500)
