BING 1-GAUGE CAST IRON CLOCKWORK LOCOMOTIVE TENDER.

A fine early American outline 4-4-0 cast iron Bing engine with tender. This clockwork locomotive features nickel plated side rods engaged into the iron steam chests along with the iron cowcatcher is quite an impressive piece. Steel bands on boiler along with nickel plated railing and a front headlamp (replaced) add charm to this locomotive. The 4-wheel tender sits nicely with the locomotive and shows a fair amount of crazing to its finish. Tender possibly did not originally come with this locomotive. A good cleaning to the black finish would certainly add to the charm of the locomotive. SIZE: 18″ l overall. CONDITION: Overall, engine is very good plus with wear to red and white pinstriping on engine cab. Tender is bright and shiny. 1-14193 (1,500-2,000) – Lot 3493
