SN 23195. Cal. 12ga. 29-1/4″ bbls (appears orig), 2-5/8″ Cham, full length matted top rib with brass front bead. Water table marked with SN on right flat, no grade marking noted. Double triggers, auto ejectors, auto safety. Capped full pistol grip buttstock, checkered in classic 2-point pattern with fancy grain towards butt which is finished in finely fitted horn heel and toe plates. Splinter forearm checkered in 2-point pattern with push button release and steel tip are lightly engraved. Lockplates are lightly scroll engraved with pointers in field scenes on both sides and stamped “LeFever Arms Co.” Bottom of frame with lovely burst of scroll around trigger plate. Patent dates noted on trigger plate. Trigger guard is nicely engraved with what appears to be a cocker spaniel soft mouthing a quail to return to its shooter. SN at tang. Bore diameter: left – .737, right – .737. Bore restrictions: left – .014 (LM), right – .012 (LM). Minimum wall thickness: left – .038, right – .036. Weight: 7 lbs. 9 oz. Drop at comb: 1-1/2″, drop at heel: 2-1/4″. LOP: 14-3/16″. PROVENANCE: Private single owner advanced LeFever Collection. CONDITION: Excellent as partially refurbished. Bbl retains most of their professionally restored bold and vivid Damascus pattern. Receiver has toned mostly gray with a hint or two case color in protected areas. Buttstock and forearm rate very good and retain most of a professionally restored finish. Left side of buttstock with grain separation towards heel measuring approximately 2-3/4″ long. Horn heel and toe plates appear orig and are well fitted with minor losses. Bores are very good with some beginning roughness in right tube, more so than left.
