*EXCEPTIONAL COLLECTOR’S LOT OF INLAND AND SAGINAW M1 CARBINES FROM WWII.1) US CARBINE, M1 INLAND M1 CARBINE. SN 6299692. Cal 30M1. 18″ bbl marked “Inland Div 10-44”. Metal components finished in a dark grey/green phosphate finish. Many early features include, but not limited to, flip rear sight, narrow type 1 barrel band, push button safety, and unmarked magazine release. 2 piece wood stocks are proper arsenal oil finish with butt stock having strong ordnance wheel inspection. Sling slot has manufacturers IO marking as does the 4 rivet hand guard. Trigger group assembly and most all small parts have Inland manufacturers markings but a complete disassembly was not performed so others could be present as well. Khaki web sling and oiler are included as well. CONDITION: Very fine overall as refinished with very minor finish loss at high points of operating rod and sights. Bore and mechanics are excellent. Wood stocks are excellent with no distress or material loss. Front sight is a possible replacement. C&R 2) US CARBINE, M1 GRAND RAPIDS M1 CARBINE. SN 1841493. Cal. 30M1. 18″ barrel marked “Underwood 8-43”. Metal components are a grey/green phosphate finish. Many early features including, but not limited to, rear flip sight, type1 narrow barrel band, push button safety, and unmarked magazine release. Trigger group consist of S’G’ parts, but a detailed disassembly was not performed so others could be present as well. 2 piece stocks are very fine with strong S’G’ in box cartouche with ordnance wheel and RSG in sling slot. 2 rivet hand guard has spurious “RSG” marking on underside. With green web sling and oiler. CONDITION: Very good with some restoration. Bore and mechanics are very good. Receiver has been drilled and tapped on left side of receiver for unknown reason. Hand guard has been refinished at some earlier time. Evidence of having later wide barrel band at one time. Web sling is a reproduction. C&R 51389-26, 51389-32 TDW (2,500-5,000) – Lot 3487
