*SCARCE LEFEVER EE GAME GUN – LATE ITHACA ASSEMBLY.

SN 58471. Cal. 12ga. 30″ fluid steel bbls, full length matted rib with brass front bead. Left side of water table stamped “EE”, right side with SN and “2” at front of frame. Blued double triggers, auto ejectors, auto safety. Capped pistol grip buttstock, checkered in late 2-point pattern over orig Ithaca style curved lined buttplate. Splinter forearm checkered in 2-point pattern with friction type release and engraved steel tip. Receiver is nicely scroll engraved. Left lockplate with pointer, right lockplate with setter and marked “LeFever Arms Co. Inc.” on left and “Ithaca, N.Y., U.S.A.” Top of action lightly scroll engraved as is top lever. Trigger guard is blued with burst of scroll on bow and SN at tang. Nickel plated cocking indicators. Bore diameter: left – .728, right – .728. Bore restrictions: left – .039 (full), right – .024 (MOD). Minimum wall thickness: left – .032, right – .032 . Weight: 7 lbs. 11 oz. Drop at comb: 1-1/16″, drop at heel: 3″. LOP: 14-1/8″. PROVENANCE: Private single owner advanced LeFever Collection. CONDITION: Excellent as restored. Receiver retains 95-98% of its beautifully restored case color. Buttstock and forearm retain nearly all of their expertly restored finish. Checkering is sharp. Trigger guard retains approximately 90% of its restored blue starting to tone at back of tang. Bores are excellent with a couple of minor repaired dents. Mechanics are crisp. Ejectors are in time. Bbls are slightly off face though action is tight. These late Ithaca produced LeFever’s are quite scarce in a graded gun and this one would make a particularly fine late season pheasant partner. 51051-6 JSL (4,000-7,000) C&R – Lot 3487
