SN 241140. Cal. 12 Ga. 2-3/4″ Cham. 28″ fluid steel bbls with twin ivory beads and full length matted tapered rib. 1/2 frame. Water table marked with SN and grade designation and bbl flats stamped with SN and marked “Overload proved / Parker Gun Works” and production date code of “CG” indicating April 1938. Parker single selective trigger, auto ejectors, non-auto safety. Highly figured replacement straight grip buttstock checkered in typical “D” grade pattern with aged red rubber recoil pad. Replacement beavertail forearm checkered in 6-point pattern with Deeley latch and proper reinforcement bolt and conforming bbl lug. Engraved in typical Remington DHE pattern with pointer on right, setter on left surrounded by well executed scroll engraving. Three well executed pheasants on trigger plate surrounded by scroll engraving and bottom of frame marked “Parker”. Top lever has been blued and is lightly scroll engraved as are fences. Bore diameter: left – .740, right – .731. Bore restrictions: left – .006 (IC), right – .014 (MOD). Minimum wall thickness: left – mostly .022 but one small spot at .019 3″ back from muzzle, right – .024. Weight: 7 lbs. 3 oz. Drop at comb: 1-7/16″, drop at heel: 2-3/8″. Bbls retain nearly all of their fine restored rust blue. Receiver retains nearly all of its dark blue Parker type re-case hardened finish. Trigger guard retains nearly all of its high quality refurbished blue, engraving re-cut at SN. Top lever has been blued. Buttstock and forearm are very good and retain most of their custom finish with light handling marks and scratches throughout. Left side of action near top of frame with repaired grain separation and minor losses around straight grip trigger guard tang. Replacement forend with heavy lacquer finish. Trigger works, ejectors are in time, bores are excellent.
