SN 203441. Cal. 12 ga. 2-3/4″ Chambers. 1-1/2 Frame. 30″ Bbls are marked with Parker Bros Meriden CT address and “TITANIC STEEL” on matted rib. Bbl flats are stamped with usual all correct Parker marks. Case hardened action with all correct markings on water table, features automatic safety and dbl triggers. It is engraved in usual “D” style with 80% coverage varying sized scroll surrounding vignettes of dogs and game; pointer on left, setter on right. “PARKER BROS” is engraved in scrolled ribands on both sides of action. Trigger plate has scene of four pheasant, two flying, two walking. Trigger guard with scroll on bow, has SN on tang. Unusual quilted figure American walnut Parker Meriden capped pistol grip buttstock measures 14-1/4″ over skeleton steel buttplate. Stock has usual “D” style side panels with lozenge shaped drop points, and point pattern checkering. A vacant silver oval is on toe line. Typical splinter ejector forend has filed steel tip and usual release. This gun matches all specifications as listed in the PARKER GUN IDENTIFICATION & SERIALIZATION ledger. Bore diameter: left -.730, right – .731. Bore restrictions: left – .036 (full), right – .029 (IMod). Wall thickness: left – .035, right – .034. Drop at heel: 2-9/16″, drop at comb: 1-7/16″. Cast: Neutral. Weight: 7 lbs. 7 oz. LOP: 14-1/4″. PROVENANCE: Remarkable William Larkin Moore Private Estate Collection of Fine Sporting Arms. CONDITION: Excellent, original, as found. Bbls retain 80 – 85% orig blue with numerous marks and rubs, thinning a bit on sides, and with some flecking toward breech end of left bbl. Action retains 70 – 80% orig color, which is quite vivid on sides, but silvered from normal hand wear on fences, beads, and around bottom. Stocks retain over 90% of their orig varnish finish with numerous light marks, scratches, and bumps. Bores are excellent. Action is tight.
