BRACE OF GERMAN UNDERLEVER HAMMER GUNS, ONE DOUBLE SHOTGUN BY G. L. RASCH, AND A CAPE GUN BY S. KNOP.

SN NSN/NSN. Cal. 16 ga. Rasch has 30-3/4″ Bernard Damascus bbls with makers name and address on top rib. Round bodied action with forward pivoting underlever has integral forend. Action is deeply engraved with scrolling acanthus around semi-relief game scenes, including roe buck stag, boar, and ass. Scrolled trigger guard is relief engraved with monogram “EH”. Trigger guard extension is of scrolled horn. Nicely figured walnut stock measures 14-1/4″ over thick checkered horn buttplate. Cal. 16 x 43 Mauser. (?) Cape Gun by Knop has 29-5/8″ twist bbls with makers name and “Hameln” (Pied Piper town) inlaid in silver on rib, and is fitted with U-notch rear sight. Round bodied forward pivoting underlever action with back locks has captive forend. Action and locks are engraved with large open scroll. Scrolled trigger guard has horn grip extension. Lightly streaked walnut stock with right hand cheekpiece measures 13-1/2″ over steel buttplate. CONDITION: Both guns are good to very good with traces of orig finish on bbls. Actions, etc are mostly gray patina. Wood has many marks and dings in what appears to be orig finish. Stock of Rasch has cracked through action area.
