*HIGH ORIGINAL CONDITION J. P. SAUER BOXLOCK GAME GUN.

SN 3001. Cal. 12 ga. 28-3/8″ Shoe lump bbls with raised, matted, flat rib are stamped with Sauer name and address, steel type, and “MADE IN GERMANY” on tops. Bbl flats are stamped with 1952 East German proofs. Case hardened, boxlock action has automatic safety, crossbolt third fastener, side clips, pin type cocking indicators, and dbl triggers. Action is engraved with line borders and a few swirls of very simple scroll. Trigger plate is marked “ORIGINAL” “SAUER” around caveman logo. Plain European walnut capped pistol grip buttstock measures 14-1/4″ over Sauer embossed hard rubber buttplate, and features right hand cheekpiece, simple point pattern checkering, and a sling loop on toe line matching that on bbls. Matching splinter forend has Deeley release. Bore diameter: left -.722, right – .720. Bore restrictions: left – .045 (extra full), right – .033 (full). Drop at heel:2-5/8″ , drop at comb: 1-5/8″. Cast: neutral. Weight: 6 lbs. 14 oz. LOP: 14-1/4″. CONDITION: Excellent, very close to new, but does show some evidence of firing, and has some silvering and darkening of fences and sharp edges.
