*VERY FINE, HIGH ORIGINAL CONDITION, 16 GAUGE CHARLES DALY DIAMOND GRADE SHOTGUN BY LINDNER WITH SINGLE TRIGGER.

SN 2123. Cal. 16 ga. 26″ Dovetailed bbls are engraved “Charles Daly Diamond Quality” on unmatted portion of slightly raised, concave, game rib. Breeches are surrounded by 3/4″ band of very well cut scroll behind Witten steel logos. Bbl flats are stamped with imperial German proofs with no nitro proof. Bottoms of bbls are stamped with steel type and “HAL” crossed pistol logos. Small sized, case hardened, scallop backed, boxlock action features non-automatic safety (SAFE inlaid in gold), pin type cocking indicators, hidden square crossbolt third fastener, side clips, and single non-selective trigger. Action is engraved with near full coverage well cut small scroll. “Charles Daly” is on rectangular device on each side. This well cut scroll surrounds an interesting vignette of hunter and boatman in sneak boat apparently approaching trio of ducks, which are on trigger guard bow. Trigger guard is case hardened. SN is on tang. Nicely marbled and lightly figured European walnut round knob pistol grip buttstock measures 14-7/8″ over red rubber and foam sandwiched pad. Side panels are checkered, and have typical drop points. Grip checkering is of point pattern with line borders, and ball of grip has inset horn button with raised rib. A vacant silver oval is on toe line. Matching long splinter ejector forend has schnabeled horn tip and Deeley type release. Bore diameter: left -.667, right – .667. Bore restrictions: left – .029 (full), right – .004 (IC). Wall thickness: left – .030, right – .027. Drop at heel: 3-1/2″, drop at comb: 1-3/4″. Cast: neutral. Weight: 5 lbs. 12 oz. LOP: 14-7/8″. PROVENANCE: The Collection of Jim Beckley. CONDITION: Excellent, original, as found. Bbls retain over 95% orig blue with a few light handling marks. Action retains 90 – 95% orig case hardening color, thinning and silvering on fences and beads. Color is silvering at trigger guard tang. Stocks have a number of light marks, a few a bit heavier in their orig finish. Pad has been added at some time, as area for widows peak of buttplate has been filled. Checkering is very lightly worn. Grip checkering shows some tape or other whitish residue. Bores are excellent, with a hint of frosting. Action is tight. Bbls are on face. Ejectors are in time. Inertia trigger appears to work.
