SN 13436. Cal. 12 ga. 28-1/4″ bbls with sunken rib, 2-3/4″ chambers as marked on water table with “12-70” marking. Fixed chokes are open to IC & MOD. Rib has retailer marking “Gastinne Renette Paris”. Steel front bead with faux-ivory white mid-bead. Purdey style sidelock action with cocking indicators, dbl triggers and ejectors. Engraving is full coverage rose and scroll style. Splinter forearm and straight hand stock of fancy thin shell walnut with point pattern hand checkering. Main plate and toeline marked with initials “JWS”. LOP: 14-3/8″ over brown Decelerator pad and 9/16″ wood spacer. Drop at comb: 1-7/8″; drop at heel: 2-13/16″. Leather covered leather case with green velour fitted interior having Arrieta case. PROVENANCE: Remarkable William Larkin Moore Private Estate Collection of Fine Sporting Arms. CONDITION: Very good. Bbls retain very good orig blue showing a few scattered light scratches and marks. Very good bores. Faded but lightly visible case colors remain over most of the frame and locks.
