*EXCELLENT LOT OF THREE HIGH STANDARD AUTOMATIC PISTOLS.1) HI STANDARD MODEL B – US MARKED. SN 108522. Cal 22 LR. 4-1/2″ bbl, full blue finish with checkered 2-pc plastic grips. Left bbl lug shows “Made in USA” over “The Hi-Standard MFG Co.” over “New Haven. CONN.” over “Patent Pending” with caliber designation at the bottom. Left side of slide is marked “Hi-Standard” over “Model “B”. SN is marked on front strap. Magazine is not marked. Top of bbl is marked “Property of U.S.” in small letters. Right side of bbl lug is marked “Property of” over “U.S.” An ordnance wheel proof is stamped below. Both grips show a Hi-Standard monogram in a circle on both sides. Pistol is housed in an original Hi-Standard Model B box. Box has a red label on top. Box contains an instruction tag for this pistol. PROVENANCE: The Frank H. Wheaton, III Collection. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbl shows 99% of the bright blue finish with very slight muzzle wear on either side and a couple of minuscule scratches. Bore is bright with strong rifling. All markings are sharp. Ordnance wheel proof is lightly struck. Slide also retains 99% blue finish with only slight high point wear. Frame retains 99% blue finish with a sharp mark. Grips are excellent with sharp checkering and clear logos. Magazine retains nearly all of the orig blue with only a few slight scratch marks. Box is very fine with no broken corners and slight oil stains on the inside. Top label has slight loss due to abrasion. SN is written on top of box and has been written over another number. An extremely fine Hi-Standard Model B pistol with U.S. Property marks that would be almost impossible to improve upon. C&R 2) HI STANDARD 102 SUPERMATIC. SN 994407. Cal 22 LR. 6-3/4″ heavy rnd bbl, target sights, dull gray/blue matte finish, checkered 2-pc Bakelite grips with Hi-Standard medallions. Left side of bbl lug shows caliber mark followed by an eagle over a ribbon. Left side of slide is marked “Hi-Standard”. Right side of bbl lug shows 2-line Hi-Standard Hamden address. Right side of slide shows Model mark to the front with SN to the rear. Right side of frame above trigger guard also shows SN. Left side of frame is marked “Supermatic” over “Tournament” over “U.S.”. Rear sight is adjustable for windage and elevation. Magazine is finished bright and appears to have been painted white. Bottom is marked “Hi-Standard”. PROVENANCE: The Frank H. Wheaton, III Collection. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl has a dull matte gray finish overall with numerous handling marks and scratches. Both sides of muzzle show wear. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Slide also is a dull matte gray finish with numerous handling marks and scratches. Markings are sharp and clear. Frame also has a dark matte gray finish with handling marks and scratches overall. Grips are fine with sharp checkering and very good medallions. Magazine has a white chalky appearance as noted. A very interesting U.S. marked Hi-Standard Supermatic pistol. C&R 3) HI STANDARD E. SN 42973. Cal 22 LR. 4-1/2″ heavy bbl, adjustable rear sight, full blue finish, 2-pc checkered walnut grips with thumb rest. Bbl is unmarked. Receiver lug shows Hi-Standard address, patent mark and caliber destination on left side. Slide reads “Hi-Standard” over “Model E”. SN is stamped on the forestrap. Magazine is not marked. PROVENANCE: The Frank H. Wheaton, III Collection. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl retains 90% bright blue finish with some muzzle wear on the left side and slight high point wear. Slide retains 90% blue finish with high point wear. Rear sight is very good. Frame retains 70% blue with most of the wear on the fore and back straps. Grips are fine with sharp checkering and only a few slight handling marks. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Magazine retains nearly all of the blue with a distinct temper mark at the top.
