SN 33368. Cal. 410. 26″ Chopper lump bbls fitted with hand matted concave game rib are engraved “Libero Ferraglio – Italia W. L. Moore – Agoura. C.” on left bbl. Bbl flats are stamped with 1979 Italian nitro proofs. Small sized, coin finished, sidelock action features non-automatic safety (SAFE inlaid in gold), bushed strikers, gold line tumbler end cocking indicators, and dbl triggers (front articulated). Action and lockplates are engraved with near full coverage, except for beads, tiny shaded scroll within gold wire borders. This interesting engraving is signed “A Bregoli” on trigger plate. SN is in gold on trigger guard tang. Attractive finely fiddle figured and nicely streaked European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14-3/8″ over checkered wood butt, and features rounded tear drop points, closely spaced, well cut borderless point pattern checkering at grip, and a vacant gold oval on toe line. Matching long splinter ejector forend has Anson release. Bore diameter at muzzles: left -.387 (full?), right – .400 (mod ?). Drop at heel: 2-3/16″, drop at comb: 1-7/16″. Cast: approx 1/8″ off. Weight: 5 lbs. 11 oz. LOP: 14-3/8″. PROVENANCE: Remarkable William Larkin Moore Private Estate Collection of Fine Sporting Arms. CONDITION: Excellent, appears unfired since proof, with a few light flecks and handling marks on bbls and in wood.
