SN 80702. Cal. 12 ga. 2-3/4″ Chambers. 26″ Mono-bloc bbls with narrow, ventilated rib (and no side ribs), are marked “Perazzi BRESCIA MADE IN ITALY” on left side of top bbl. Bottom flat is stamped with 1991 Italian nitro proofs. Coin finished, low profile, OU action with selective single trigger, is engraved with near full coverage floral accents in small open shaded scroll background. Bottom of action has grade gold inlaid in forend mortise, and scroll surrounds bulino scene of mallards settling into marshy pond, with drake bathing. Left lockplate depicts a flock of pintails flying low and settling into marsh. Right plate depicts mallards settling into marshy pond with scrubby trees in background. Left lockplate is signed “Galeazzi” (most likely the noted A. Galeazzi. The other two scenes are unsigned. Trigger plate and trigger guard with matching scroll, are blued, as is top lever, which is gold inlaid “II”. This gun is no. 2 of a pair and “II” is also inlaid on rear portion of rib and in front of forend latch. Well figured and finely marbled European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14-1/2″ over thin leather covered black pad. Point pattern checkering is at grip. A gold oval on toe line is engraved “GL”. Matching schnabeled one piece field forend has Deeley type release. Bore diameter: top -.724, bottom – .723. Bore restrictions: Screw chokes. Drop at heel: 2-1/8″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Cast: Neutral. Weight: 7 lbs. 7 oz. LOP: 14-1/2″. Green ABS Perazzi marked case is lined in blanket pattern cloth, and contains bags for action and bbls. CONDITION: Excellent, very near to new, with only a few light handling and assembly marks in wood and metal, and faint firing halos on breechface. Mechanically crisp.
