ARCADE FLAT TOP YELLOW CAB.

A classic automotive toy from the later part of the 1930s, depicting the Yellow cab that one often found roaming the streets of Chicago, New York City and other large metropolitan areas. This example is enameled in the trademark orange and black and rubber stamped “Yellow Cab” on passenger side compartment doors. Nickel plated iron wheels including the spare tire affixed to the rear with a white license plate #330 held in place with a red “tail light” screw. Car retains its original Arcade sticker on drivers side cowl, the 2 nickel plated cowl lights as well as the nickel plated driver. This toy is often susceptible to excessive wear on the black enameled roof, this one is virtually near mint showing no signs of wear or scratches. Oftentimes the front posts of the windshield have hairlines, these are intact and have no damage or hairlines. A great example of a in demand automotive toy from the classic 1930s era. SIZE: 8″ long.
