SN C12115B. Cal. 12 ga. 28″ Mono-bloc bbls with interchangeable chokes fitted, have hand matted, ventilated rib, and are marked “P. Beretta Italy” on left side of top bbl. Bottom of mono-bloc are stamped with 1990 Italian nitro proofs for 2-3/4″ chambers, and with grade and SN. Coin finished, low profile, Beretta sidelock OU action is nicely filed and has pierced thumbpiece. Action features single selective trigger and non-automatic safety. Action is engraved with very well cut small shaded scroll surrounding lifelike vignette of flying woodcock and tree branch on bottom, which is also engraved “P. BERETTA” “BREVETTATO” and “MADE IN ITALY”. Lockplates with more scroll have scenes of flying chukar partridge quartering toward viewer at rear and quartering away toward front on left plate, and mallard drake settling into marsh at rear of right plate with hen in same attitude toward front. This well detailed work is signed “C Giovanelli” on trigger plate. A gold crown is inlaid on top lever, and “SPORTING” is in gold on double beaded trigger guard bow. Grade is on tang. Beautifully marbled and somewhat figured European walnut flared pistol grip buttstock measures 14-3/8″ over ribbed composition buttplate. Point pattern checkering with line borders is at grip. Field type schnabeled one piece forend has Deeley type release. Drop at heel: 2-1/8″, drop at comb: 1-1/4″. Cast: approx 1/2″ off. Weight: 7 lbs. 11 oz. LOP: 14-3/8″. Bluish gray ABS Beretta marked case is lined in bluish blanket weave cloth, with compartment for tools, etc in lid, and contains 3-pc rosewood and brass cleaning rod, stock removal tool, instruction manual, guarantee, multi-tool, as well as 6 Briley choke tubes (2 in gun giving a total of 8) with wrench. CONDITION: Excellent, very near to new, with only a few handling and assembly marks, and with evidence of very little firing, with light halos on breechface. Mechanically crisp.
