LARGE DENT “AIR EXPRESS” 12″ TRI-MOTOR AIRPLANE.

In the 1930s Dent manufactured a number of airplanes, Air Express, Question Mark, Lucky Boy, and a Ford Tri-Motor. This particular example is the “Air Express” with nickel plated iron wheels. Accompanying this toy is an original Dent Hardware sample tag. Enameled in dark green with gold highlights. This is the largest of the Dent airplane series with a 12″ wingspan. SIZE: 12″ wingspan. CONDITION: Of later vintage, likely to be second castings. Still an attractive plane and highly desirable. 1-14003 (800-1,200) – Lot 3359
