HUBLEY “AMERICA” TRI-MOTOR AIRPLANE.

The largest of any of the cast iron airplanes manufactured by the various toy companies. Huge in size with a 17″ wingspan, the toy features a pair of pilots in an open cockpit. When the toy is pulled along the ground, the three propellers spin by means of pulleys and springs. The toy is in excellent all original condition except the two front rubber tires. An interesting feature is the wing is almost always cast aluminum and not iron. Most likely this was done to lighten the load so the youth could effectively play with this toy. SIZE: 17″ wingspan x 13″ l. CONDITION: Exceptional original finish to the paint with minimal overall uniform chipping. Still retains strong nickel finish to propellers and wheel hubs.
