Galle faience basket has heavily molded scroll designs surrounding the body and handle of the basket. It is finished in a dark brown glaze with cream colored trim. Decoration is highlighted with gilded accents. Signed on the underside with elaborate impressed signature “Emile Galle Fecit Modele Depose” along with impressed dragons and scrolls. Basket also has the remnants of an original Galle paper label. SIZE: 13-1/2″ w x 9-3/4″ t.
