KENTON 2ND REGIMENT HORSE DRAWN AMBULANCE.

A great example of an early 20th century cast iron horse drawn toy featuring a nickel plated ambulance with driver being pulled by 2 horses. Embossed lettering on the side of this toy with a red cross, the lettering “2nd Regiment” and block lettering for “AMBULANCE”. A pair of black horses with the typical Kenton silver manes and tails further add to the appeal of this desirable toy. The nickel on the back end of the toy is unusually vibrant and strong, not having dulled or experiencing loss which is highly unusual for this 100+ year old toy. A great example unique and interesting toy! SIZE: 16″ long. CONDITION: Overall very fine plus including an original painted cast iron driver. There are no breaks or repairs to this cast iron toy. The only issue one could determine to be a problem is a wire to clack the bell as the toy is pulled along the floor is broken and missing, but certainly this is hardly worth mentioning. 1-14106 (1,500-2,500) – Lot 3343
