Marks matching on frame, slide, and bbl. Brown bakelite grips. Magazine marked “P.38v” and eagle 359 inspected. Accompanied by brown leather clam shell holster marked “hft/43”, inspector’s mark and “P38″ marking are weak. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Collection Of Noted Expert And Author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: Very fine retaining most of its orig finish with slight wear at high points and minor handling wear. Excellent grips. Excellent bore. Chamber is bright. Excellent working order. Markings are sharp and clear. Holster is solid with strong stitching. C&R 2) WALTHER P38. SN 456M. Cal. 9mm. 5” bbl marked “P.38”, SN and “ac43” on left side of slide. Eagle 359 proof. Matching numbers on slide, frame and bbl. “jvd” marked magazine. Black grips. Accompanied by black leather flap holster marked on back upside-down eagle WaA938, large oak leaf with a “9” in the middle, “1944” and “P38”. Other markings in ink on inside flap. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Collection Of Noted Expert And Author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: Good with more than half orig finish. Light pitting and surface rust here and there. Good working order. Bore dirty with strong rifling. Holster solid with good markings, strong stitching. Evidence of a cap device having been affixed to flap. C&R 3) WALTHER AC 43 P38. SN 6267h. Cal. 9 mm. 5″ bbl. Marked “P.38” with “ac/43” stamped over the “8”, “ac/43”, SN. Eagle 359 inspected. Austrian BH proof on left side of frame after SN. Matching numbers of bbl, frame, and slide. Brown Bakelite grips. This gun is described on p. 206, pictured on p. 207 of The P.38 Pistol, Vol. III by Warren Buxton. Eagle 88 marked magazine. Accompanied by black leather clam shell holster weakly marked on back with: 9 within an oak leaf above 1943 in stylized rectangle, WaA938, “P.38”. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Collection Of Noted Expert And Author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: Very good with majority of finish. Markings are clear. Bore shows wear with light pitting throughout. Excellent working order. Fine grips. Magazine has slight dent in bottom of right side as well as some minor surface rust. Holster shows wear and handling marks.
