HISTORIC COLT SINGLE ACTION REVOLVER. SN 86134 on frame. Cal. .45LC. 7-1/2″ round bbl. 6134 on backstrap and trigger guard. NSN on bbl or cylinder. The backstrap is inscribed “S.S. City of Para”. Accompanying documents identify the City of Para as a troop transport chartered from the Pacific Mail Steamship Company to carry the 13th Minnesota Infantry, part of General Arthur MacArthur’s force, to the Philippines in June of 1898. This was the only U.S. usage of this ship. There is a picture of the ship with U.S. troops hanging all over it. CONDITION: Traces of nickel on bbl and frame. Mostly gray patina with light pitting. The grips have been re-varnished over chips and scratches. Some screws have been replaced. 4-46495 FS170 (2,500-3,500)
