FABULOUS PAIR OF BRASS FOUR LIGHT MIRROR BACK WALL SCONCES BY TIFFANY & CO.

Rectangular sconces having 2 pair of candle holders for each sconce. An open bead edge with tall crest having open work and cherubs surrounding an oval medallion. A mask applied to the bottom section. The rectangular frame decorated with fruit and flowers, all surrounding a beveled edge mirror plate. The back plate marked “Tiffany & Co., Makers 0247 M 6978”. NOTE: A letter from Tiffany & Co., dated July 31, 1956, indicates that the sconces were made between 1875 and 1891. And indicated that the tools for making them have long been destroyed.
