*VERY FINE Flli RIZZINI R 1-E 12 BORE SIDELOCK EJECTOR GAME GUN WITH INTERESTING BAROQUE SCROLL BY BRECOLI WITH CASE.

SN 1423. (1982) Cal. 12 ga. 2-3/4″ Chambers. Fratelli Rizzini produces some of the finest guns built in the world today. This fine gun has 27-1/2″ chopper lump bbls with concave matted game rib. Top of left bbl is engraved “Flli Rizzini Magno V.T.” Bbl flats are stamped with 1982 Italian nitro proofs. Coin finished sidelock action features non-automatic safety (SICURA engraved) and single non-selective trigger. Action is engraved with full coverage large scrolling acanthus in semi relief, with dark shaded backgrounds which surrounds mythological long necked, scaly bodied, bird headed, scroll breathing, winged beasts; One on each lockplate and another on the bottom of action. Makers name does not appear on exterior, but is stamped on water table along with proofs and SN. This unique scroll extends to small bow trigger guard which has SN on riband on tang. Engravers signature “Brecoli” is on trigger plate. Beautifully marbled and lightly figured European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14-3/8″ over thin red rifle pad. Diamond grip has well cut borderless point pattern checkering. Matching splinter forend is fitted with Rizzini’s patented ejector system, and has Anson release. Bore diameter: left -.725, right – .724. Bore restrictions: left – .015 (mod), right – .012 (mod). Drop at heel: 1-3/4″, drop at comb: 1-3/8″. Cast: approx 1/8″ off. Weight: 7 lbs. 2 oz. LOP: 14-3/8″. Tan leather case with stitched leather corners, by Nizzoli (marked on latch) is lined in dark olive felt, and has large paper Rizzini label in lid. Case contains a pair of snap caps, vaseline jar, and a 2-pc walnut and brass cleaning rod with brush and mop, as well as exterior straps in covered compartment. PROVENANCE: Remarkable William Larkin Moore Private Estate Collection of Fine Sporting Arms. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbls retain approx 98% orig blue with some light flecking and thinning. Coin finish of action remains clear and bright. Stocks retain approx 95% of their orig finish, thinned considerably at grip and on forend, checkering slightly worn. Bores are excellent. Action is tight. Bbls are on face. Ejectors are strong and in time. Trigger works. There are a number of marks and scuffs in exterior leather of case, which shows areas of darkening.
