INDONESIAN AGATE PRESENTATION BOWL WITH SILVER MOUNTS.

20th Century. The bowl carved from a single piece of agate in a wide flattened form standing on a splayed foot. The rim & foot with applied silver mounts displaying the Indonesian seal done in relief on a central medallion. Silver marked “AD 835”. Comes with its original fitted box displaying the Indonesian seal finished in gilt and presentation plaque “Presented by Madame K Umar Wirahadikusumah”. Also comes with wooden display stand. SIZE: 4-1/4″ h x 10-3/4″ dia. PROVENANCE: Purportedly purchased from a Bush family house sale. A gift from the wife of the 4th Vice President of Indonesia. CONDITION: Fissure in body of bowl, two blemishes to the stone & foot, blue residue around silver mounts. 49723-1 (4,000-6,000) – Lot 3316
