BOY SCOUT CAMP MECHANICAL BANK.

Elaborately cast mechanical bank by J and E Stevens from the early part of the 20th century inspired by the founding of the Boy Scouts a few years earlier. Bank depicts a teepee in a wooded setting with two scouts at the campfire, one of whom holds a Boy Scout Flag. Place a coin in the tree above the teepee and when the lever is pressed the scout raises the flag and the coin drops into the receptacle. SIZE: 9-1/2″ l. CONDITION: Overall good with its original coin trap and showing scattered paint chips. Would benefit from a light cleaning. 1-14273 (2,500-3,500) – Lot 3310
