SEVEN EXPORT FAMILLE ROSE PLATES.Yongzheng Period (1723-1735), China. Four with large peony blooms and rockery. One depicting precious antiques. And a pair of hexagonal duck and peony plates. SIZE: Largest: 8-3/4″ dia. PROVENANCE: According to family tradition this item was brought back from China by Capt. Richard Alsager (1781-1841), Captain in the East India Company and later MP (1835-41) for Eastern Surrey in England. His last trip to China was in the mid-1820’s. CONDITION: Duck plates with worn edges. Antique plate with restored edge. Peony plates, two with hairlines and associates chips, one in good condition and one with restored edge. 50080-12 (400-600) – Lot 3302
