FOUR FIGURES.

1) Cast iron 19th century African American groom hitching post figure. Signed on base “Wood Phil.” 2) Late 20th century, origin unknown carved and painted wood with copper drum head depicting a kilted Scottish highlander drummer boy, right hand holding a tobacco sign. 3) 20th century, possibly American, Punch figure in the manner of a 19th century tobacconist figure holding a bunch of cigars in left hand. 4) Late 20th century carved wood carousel style standing lion, probably of Asian manufacture. Carved in pine. SIZE: 1) 48″ t x 20″ w x 16″ d. 2) 42″ t x 13″ w x 18″ d. 3) 45″ t x 20″ w x 18″ d. 4) 48″ l x 38″ h x 20″ w. PROVENANCE: From the personal estate collection of Michael Urioste of Gadsden Alabama. CONDITION: 1) Good condition with recent paint. Appears to be remounted on original cotton bale base with new fasteners. 2) Good. 3) Good, missing some letters on sign post.
