EXPORT FAMILLE ROSE FIGURE OF GUANYIN ALONG WITH ANOTHER FIGURE.

19th century, China. Wearing green robes and holding onto a coral sprig. Together with a 19th century lacquered wood ancestor figure. SIZE: Tallest: 13″ h. PROVENANCE: Guyanyin: According to family tradition this item was brought back from China by Capt. Richard Alsager (1781-1841), Captain in the East India Company and later MP (1835-41) for Eastern Surrey in England. His last trip to China was in the mid-1820’s. CONDITION: Guanyin missing fingers.
