DAUM COMMEMORATIVE EWER.Daum ewer is decorated with cameo vines, leaves and berries. Vines and leaves are enameled in grays and black while the berries are enameled in shades of red. Vase is further decorated with three polished horizontal bands and an enameled center cartouche all set against an acid textured opalescent background. The polished bands carry the inscription “Souvenir de l’Exposition 1900. Le plus grand foudre du monde”. Signed on the underside with engraved and gilded signature “Daum Nancy” with the cross of Lorraine. SIZE: 12″ t. PROVENANCE: Private New England Collection.
