Late 19th Century. In the manner of Gustave Dentzel, Philadelphia, PA. The running deeply carved fantasy menagerie figure fully caparisoned in blue and red trappings with arched neck. The head with yellow beak and yellow glass eyes, now mounted on a custom display stand. SIZE: 65-1/2″ including stand. Approx. 42″ l. CONDITION: Multiple paint layers. Normal and expected shrinkage cracks in saddle area. Retains original stirrup rings. Please Note: Head appears to be a new replacement. 1-14155 (7,000-9,000) – Lot 3287
