TWO NATIVE AMERICAN HEAD DRESSES & TWO PLAINS STYLE SPLIT HORN STYLE HEAD DRESSES.

1) Taxidermy black bear head with red ochre inside and trimmed with bugle beads. Seed beads around eyes. Brass discs secured by beads on top of nose. 2) Buffalo style head dress with rawhide skull cap with buffalo hair and horns and applied ermine tails supported with large red trade beads. 3) Deer skin foundation with applied ermine tails and split buffalo horn. Tack decorated. The front has applied bead work in blue, red, yellow with hawk bells. 4) Split cow horns adored with ermine tails, blue and yellow beads and horse hair. Mounted to brain tanned sinew sewn hide. Shows good age. Beaded brow band has beads that are applied directly to the foundation. Covered in ermine tails. SIZE: 1 & 2) 20″ l overall. 3 & 4) Approximately 20″ l from horn to base of cap. PROVENANCE: Rod Fuller Estate Collection. CONDITION: 1) Very good. 2) Hide is stiff and deteriorating, broken in places. 3 & 4) Both good with some ermine tail loss. 49430-16 (600-900) – Lot 3273
