PAIR OF GOTHIC REVIVAL CARVED WALNUT FOOTSTOOLS.

American 3rd quarter 19th century. This unusually large pair with square frames applied with C-scrolls centering a pierced quatrefoil above a molded spade drop pendant raised on molded cabriole legs terminating in sabots. Each fitted with a conforming padded cushion covered in a pall gold patterned damask. SIZE: 17″ h overall x 11-1/2″ h frame x 21-1/4″ square. CONDITION: Some loss to corner molding upper seat frame. Repairs and reattachment of finials. Loss of sections to two C-scrolled elements. Frames structurally sound with original cushion frames. 50270-37 (300-400) – Lot 3270
